Adrian Flores, dancer, instructor, and show producer, is an artist on a mission to spread the joy and drama of ballroom dance throughout the Bay Area. Trained in American and International Latin, Rhythm, and Smooth dance forms, Adrian was active in the highly-disciplined world of ballroom competition until 1992, when he earned Theatre Arts Ballroom Dance Champion. His show productions include San Francisco’s Extravaganza, Adrian’s Ballroom Review, Adrian’s Ballroom Follies, the Latin Show, and the Swing Era. |

They've won international awards with their balloons, and have even had their "balloon hats" featured in the hit movie "Patch Adams." Phil Ackerly's busy schedule has him performing over 250 shows every year, from corporate events to private parties. He has appeared at Comdex, Networld+Interop and many other trade shows, He has performed at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, on radio and television. Phil says, "When I perform it's really magic. I can walk into someone's home as a stranger, and after my performance, it's like I'm part of the family. I have the crowd in the palm of my hands." Auntie Linda Pi'ilani Danek learned many years ago from her Kumu Auntie Helen Kekua Waia'u that the beginnings of the hula are the "essence of our people". It was from this disciplined foundation that Auntie Linda drew her inspiration and began Hula Halau 'O Pi'ilani. Beginning in 1964, Auntie Linda began informally teaching from her home in San Francisco. Since opening the halau in 1981, they have entered their groups in numerous competitions in Hawai'i, Seattle, Las Vegas, Utah and of course, right here in California.
